Wednesday Night Doubles General Rules
Wednesday night doubles is played during daylight savings and begins at 5:00 PM sharp.
1. No Baggers
"A" pool players are players who are currently averaging –4 and better. The most recent league or monthly handicaps should be used in determining this. Handicaps are in the shop for all players who’ve participated in our monthlies. If a player is unable to score a –10 or better for three consecutive weeks in doubles he may at his discretion move back to the "B" pool. Conversely "B" poolers who’ve moved down from the "A" pool and then cash 2 weeks in a row or 3 out of 5 move back to the "A" pool.
2. No Novices
"B" pool players are players who average 0 to –4. They would typically play Intermediate to about mid Advanced in the monthly tourneys. Please no over par Novice players.
If a "B" player remains at the end of the random draw he at his option will play Best shot alone with another twosome or if necessary a foursome.
If an "A" player remains at the end of the random draw he at his option will play Single Optional shot alone with a twosome or if necessary a foursome. He will be allowed a single optional shot per hole either on the drive or the putt. If he takes the optional shot he must play that shot.
Ace pool continues until all play has ended.
Playoff for first is mandatory. Playoff for 2nd or 3rd is optional and at the concerned players discretion. If any of the involved players wants a playoff then there will be a playoff.
