2004 San Diego Open May 29-30, 2004 |

Brad Hammock |
We in San Diego are excited and anxiously looking forward to the 2004 San Diego Open - Spring Fling. 2003 was a roaring success and we welcome the challenge of building upon that success this year. The Course: Once again, we will convert Morley Field into the killer course - 25 holes that will challenge your skills. 72 was the course record last year (a very fair course - the record was set by two players, one a power player and one a finesse player). There will be long holes, wooded holes, OB, tight fairways, open fairways, tricky putts, and a ton of risk/reward decisions to make. Bring your A game! The Payout: We had nearly 200% payback last year (pro purse and am prizes). We expect to meet or exceed that again this year. The Competition: All the best players from SoCal are expected. We've already heard from some touring pros from the Midwest and east coast who are planning to come. We have scheduled the San Diego Open to be the fourth stop on the Cruizin California Tour. The City: One thing that sets the San Diego Open apart from other tournaments (besides the fat payout and challenging course) is the city of San Diego. Bring the family, bring your significant other - make a mini vacation out of the weekend. Great beaches, great restaurants, great shopping, Tijuana just a few miles away, Balboa Park, the Zoo, SeaWorld, Legoland... on and on. Get your entry in fast (we accept online registration). The tournament always sells out early. We look forward to seeing you! Rick Bays, David Devine Tournament Directors |
