Sure--Mars looks nice with all those red rocks and dirt, but San Diego's got sunshine... beaches galore...Balboa Park and the San Diego Open--where you'll find flying discs and abundant disc-golf life. What was NASA thinking? Unlike NASA, I've been enjoying disc-golf for six years and part of that enjoyment has been watching the game grow. Today, the disc-golf experience reaches every state, over a dozen countries, including Sweden, Japan, England and Australia plus, has a National tour...a U.S. Championship and of course the annual World Championship. "So what's disc-golf?" Disc-golf, is a fun recreational sport, born over thirty years ago in Pasadena, California. Armed with special FrisbeeŽ sized discs, players attack the fairways and greens just like traditional golf, but you'll never see a golf ball perform a helix before smashing into the target for an exciting hole-in-one. This May, Balboa Park will again host the San Diego Open at Morley Field. 2003 was a roaring success with over a hundred players competing to win over $8000 in cash and prizes! Word spread quickly and this year looks to be one of the hottest tournaments on the So-Cal tour, looking to draw National tour players as well. Many players arrive before this two day event, to enjoy friends, family and San Diego. I invite you to introduce your business to this growing sports community that continues to attract a very diverse and outgoing demographic. Get your products and offerings into the disc-golf community by becoming a partner with the San Diego Open. With multiple brand building packages available, getting involved is easy! The low-cost "Business" package offers good visibility while the "Title" package gives you year long value in association with this event. Other exciting opportunities include, "auctioning" your donated offerings or branding the "player packages" with your bonus goodies. May is on the horizon and this tournament typically sells out. Help expand the disc-golf experience through partnership with the San Diego Open. We are working to deliver the best value, to disc-golfers and to our partners. Please return the advertising agreement by May 7, 2004 to gain full access to this opportunity. Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
David Parnell |
